This trail is part of the Palos Verdes Conservancy land. We're so fortunate to have acres of land that is used for recreation and that will be preserved for future generations to enjoy.

This lake at the South Coast Botanic Gardens used to be more alive. It still provides nice reflections, but used to be more inviting.

I love our state flower, the California poppy. They appear in people's yards as well as in large fields. I saw these at the South Coast Botanic Garden on Saturday afternoon.

50th Anniversary Celebration

Today was the 50th Anniversary of the South Coast Botanic Garden. It was a free admission day so the garden was filled with people, music, and exhibitors. It was a lovely sunny day to enjoy the flowers. This garden was made on top of a county landfill-- trash heap.
