Part of the city overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island-- twenty-six miles away.

I suspect the tile roof might be something seen in your fair city. We do not have a single home or building here with a tile roof.
Patty and I will be celebrating 53 years of marriage on July 12th. Think of it as a long-term relationship.
I have invited bloggers to offer suggestions on a gift for me to give Patty and the list would not be complete without your ideas.
You're right about the tile roofs being unique to our area. It's a reflection of the Spanish influence.
I like sentimental things: A list of 53 things that you like about Patty typed up nicely on the computer. Or a collage that demonstrates 53 characteristics of Patty.
You could also make a photobook that shows 53 things that you and Patty have done together over the years. Congratulation to both of you for this wonderful accomplishment.
