Moon Rise over the Pacific Ocean

I almost got a ticket trying to get this photo. I stopped at the entrance to the archery range on Palos Verdes Drive South. The sheriff came along, pulled up behind me with his lights flashing, and got out of the car. After asking me if there was a problem, he informed me that this was a no parking area at all times. Fortunately, he let me get into my car and drive away. The picture was worth the scare, though.

Moon Setting over the Clouds

Almost Full Moon

Last night the moon rose in a sky filled with clouds. It's not often we have just a few clouds after dark-- usually we either have a full cloud cover or no clouds at all. It's too bad that I didn't get this in time for Theme Day last Saturday.
