Knit n Cruise
One of the local yarn shops sponsored a two-hour cruise around Alamitos Bay called Knit n Cruise. Participants were encouraged to bring their knitting and lunches to enjoy while
"cruising" around on an electric boat. This part of Long Beach-- not Rancho Palos Verdes-- has residential canals with very expensive homes.

Truth or Fiction?
I was on the island of Kauai, Hawaii last week. The sign was in four pieces when I walked over to it. I put the pieces together to take the photo. Some local guys who were near a truck drinking told me that the beach was for everyone and that I could come any time. I wasn't so sure that they were genuine in inviting me to use the beach, but other tourists were using it.
