This sign, which I saw in Rome last month, made me wonder about the person who made it. Did she or he lose a loved one during the tragic event? Or did the person just feel sorrow for those who experienced this catastrophe personally? I'll never know, but appreciate the sentiment.

There are many, many people throughout the world who acknowledge this terrible carnage because it has wrought so many terrible changes worldwide.
