Photo from Rome

Here's an interesting sign from Rome, Italy. It's relevant to this weekend.

Posted Warning

This sign is a block from the shipping channel, but still an important warning.

Public Service Message

This message made me stop and think about the hurtful things that are sometimes thoughtlessly said.

Public Service Message

I'm surprised that this simple warning is necessary. The public agencies are trying to ensure the H1N1 doesn't spread, though. This is a MTA that is carrying the message.

Ironic Sign, Important Question

I'm worried about what it means when this center, the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy, is closed in the middle of the day. Does that mean that no one is trying to preserve democracy on this day?

Omissions?

Does this bathroom sign cover everything that someone might think of?

Truth or Fiction?

I was on the island of Kauai, Hawaii last week. The sign was in four pieces when I walked over to it.  I put the pieces together to take the photo.  Some local guys who were near a truck drinking told me that the beach was for everyone and that I could come any time.  I wasn't so sure that they were genuine in inviting me to use the beach, but other tourists were using it.

Stop? Or Something Else?

This sign has been used by too many people for their own personal messages.  The real message is almost obliterated.  Fortunately, the shape is the standard one for "Stop" here in all of the fifty U.S.A. states.

Strong Opinions

These signs adjacent to the parking area overlooking the golf course and ocean tell us a little about these people's views.  I wish I knew more about the individuals, though.  Who did the graffiti? Does the "electric car" person drive a Prius? Is the Kings fan a different person?  Are any of these people handicapped? Questions, questions,  questions?

Enjoy!

This is the view along the cruise ship promenade for the Port of Los Angeles.

New Sign

This new sign was installed at our local college-- Marymount College.  It's an attractive addition along with their new information sign.

Another Warning Sign

Here's another sign that we saw recently.

Warning Sign

It always amazes me that this type of sign is necessary.  In spite of  the signs, though, I often people on the other side of the fence.

Is There Anger or Danger? Or both?

Here are a few interesting signs posted in our local mountains.

Caution!

I think it's hilarious that this sign on the gas pump was necessary.  What do you think?

City Garage Theatre

The City Garage Theatre is a legitimate theater space that was converted from the Santa Monica City Garage-- hence the car signs.

Do you have an ax?

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is putting in a storm drain on Palos Verdes Drive South. Apparently, these trees were removed and the wood is free for the taking. You'd need a large truck and/or ax, though.

Accurate Warning Sign

This sign tells the story of a major road here in RPV, Palos Verdes Drive South.  There is so much movement that it frequently needs repairing even though the ground never freezes.
